Teva Mountain Games 2011 Results

Just got back (Monday actually) and I got some video and pictures from a packed 2011 Teva Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado.

Before I show you that, I wanted to talk about the actual games.  It took place June 2-5 this year in the beautiful ski town of Vail.  The setting itself was perfect with the mountains and lush foliage all around you.  It did not hurt that it was clear, every single day we were there.  We unfortunately did not make it down until second day, missing the FREE Dirty Heads concert.  Time heals scars though, so we moved on swiftly.  The day included meeting industry leaders from Teva, MHM, Trek Light Gear, GoPro, Gear Tribe, Access Fund, Petzl, and others that helped sponsor the games.
A completely packed crowd watching on.

The REAL reason we were there was to experience the Teva Games for the first time!  We saw everything from trick-style kayaking, dog long jump, bouldering, dog high jump, two-man rafting races, mountain biking slopestyle, a mud run, and I'm sure there are more that I can not remember for the life of me right now.  What I am trying to say, is there was literally EVERYTHING going on that day.

I unfortunately only got footage of the bouldering and the dog long jumping.  I wish I could have gotten more footage of the other events but it was really tough to get a good viewing seat to get video.

The results of the bouldering competition were pretty obvious from watching from the crowd.  The Austrian team (Anna Stöhr and Kilian Fischhuber) basically dominated the comp and sent all 4 routes.  Kilian was the most impressive and on-sighted all four problems.  For full competition results check it out here.  For highlights check out below
